Pip's Teletubbie Party

We had a wonderful night with family and very special friends who really are family too.

We were joined by Grandma Verlie, Aunty Michelle, Uncle Glen, PaPa, Aunty Barb, Uncle BJ, Aunty Kerryn, Annika, Imogen, Great Grandfather Les, Great Grandma Norma, Aunty Jan, Aunty Ky, Aunty Na, Uncle Marcus, Aunty Jella, Tristan, Lizzie and Her special man John.

We had a BBQ dinner (Thanks the Uncle Glen & Aunty Shell who helped Andrew cook it all), with Chicken Kebabs, Sausages and Skippy (Roo, thanks to Mongomery's in Nyngan). It was all very yummy and for the first time EVER I didn't over cater, had just enough.

After that it was into the CAKE!!!!! and do she get into it. She loved it and as you can see defiantly needed another bath once she was finish.

Of course where else does the plate go once it is empty, On your head!!!!

We all had a great night and then a long nights sleep. Thanks you to everyone that came and the lovey gifts you gave. Pip received a Wish card( a girl at any age can do with a little spending money!) a cool talking phone thing, mind you I already know all the settings and she knows which is the on button! a Teddy, a doll in a backpack and then some beautiful clothes. She was very spoilt but it was rightfully deserved. It is just so hard to take that my baby is 1 and not a baby anymore.

Pip Turns 1

Well after a really long nights sleep (14 hours) Pip woke up happy, surprise surprise!

She had some cuddles and then it was time for breakfast, you don't mess with her and her food. So after the important things were done it was time for presents.

She got a few puzzles, a barrel of barrels, a lounge, and a bath doll. She also got a Kids Radio from the Kaden's and Eggs from the Rodgers.

The girls played for the next hour or so and at about 9am Pip was ready to go back to bed.

While Pip slept Andrew mowed and Caitie and I raked up the sticks out the front and cleaned up the verandah. Pip woke for lunch at 12:30pm, played some more and then was back in bed at 2pm. (what a life hey!) She was up again at 3:30pm and as we put the finishing touches on the house and dinner she played again.

Then it was time for 1st dinner and a bath before the party began.

The Cake

I was feeling like a terrible mother yesterday as for Caitlyn's 1st birthday I did a 3d Winnie the Pooh head cake, as you cake see !!!

As for Pip I still didn't know if I was going to make a round cake with the plastic happy birthday on it or go and buy one from the shop. I mentioned this to Andrew and he said why don't you do a Teletubbie (Pip's favorite), and so my imagination started and I could never have imagined how absolutely FANTASTIC it would turn out.

So I bought sponge slabs from Coles, 4 tubs of Betty Crockers Vanilla Frosting (The BEST ever) used half a bottle of Pillar box red food colouring and set to it!

I got Andrew to enlarge a picture of Po that I had found on the internet and cut him out, layed out the cakes and cut around Po.

Then I cut out the face, the ball and the photo of Pip that I had used for her invites as the picture on Po's tele tummy. Then started slapping on the frosting.

And like how great does it look, if I do say so!!!!

The only problem with using so much food colouring...........

And so begins the party week

This week being Philippa (Tues), Owen (Wed) & Maddie's (Wed) birthday's it is the party week.

Today we had a party at Time to Play (local kids activity centre) for Mothers Group, tomorrow we are having all the family over for dinner for Pips birthday, Friday is Maddie's Hi5 Pizza Party and Saturday is Owen's.

Pip & Owen are less than 24 hours apart and it is so funny that after all these years that Melinda and I have known each other that we now have kids so close.
We had a nice time, while the big kids played Pip & Owen, shared sandwiches, drinks, chips and cake.
The older kids sang happy birthday and blew out the candle.
At 12:30 we headed home and Pip was asleep before I got her to the car.

Fathers Day 2007

Well our day started off by waking Daddy, hence the exposed chest hair so he could open his presents. It has become a tradition that every year Caitie does a painting for Andrew and this year was no different. He has 3 now up in his office, he will need a bigger office by the time she is 16.
Andrew did very well he received his painting, Pink Floyd's The Wall and Delicate Sound of Thunder boxed sets, a speaker dock for the ipod, a wrench thing that macks all allen keys, socket sets and others things un necessary and of course his plates.
After presents we had a yummy breakfast while listening to Pink Floyd. It was then time to get dressed and head over to the Church. Our morning service was really great Andrew and Noel tag teamed and spoke on Genesis 22 Abraham and Issac. Very powerful.

Then in the car for lunch at BJ & Kerryn's with Dad & Barb. About 3pm we headed home. The girls slept for the afternoon and Andrew went back over to the church to get ready for the evening service.
Once he was home we had a lovely dinner while Pip crawled all over us and Caitie sat and ate biscuits on the lounge till 8:30pm (that's what happens when they sleep all afternoon, Bed time doesn't quite happen at 7pm).

Our Girls

What can I say they are both growing up SO very fast.

Pip has 2 teeth, not that she would show me them, she discovered a new way of crawling last week and now this week thinks she I so good cause she can scream around with her walker, problem is she keeps running into the furniture which frustrates her. Last week she weighed in at 7.4kg, so she is pretty much on par with Caitie in the weight stakes but she is taller. Still in some 000 tops, 00 pants and 0 all in ones. Defiantly not a Size 1 yet and not for a long time.

Don't ask just bored and Nutragrain stick!!!!!

As for Caitie, she has hit the 13 kg mark and she is just a delight most of the time. We are having a little bit of jealously issues but nothing major. She now helps set the table for dinner and today learnt how to make her bed. She loves to dance, do cartwheels and play on her swings.

I am just so clever

Always to posser

Look I'm Crawling!!!!!!

Well it has happened, she is off and crawling.

Her favorite time is bath time cause I strip her down in the lounge room, go to the bathroom to run the bath and she meets me there laughing all the way.

The other day she went racing off down the hallway to Caitie's room and when I called her she turned around, looked at me laughed and raced off into the room. At church on Sunday night Andrew was leading and Pip saw him and was off up the front to Daddy!, so it has well and truly started.

All fun. She is also pulling herself up on anything or anyone that stands still long enough.

Mothers Day 2007

I was very spoilt by my wonderful family.

I was given a beautiful hand made card from Caitie that in her words had a "picture of mummy and the sky and the sun and the grass on the front and then on the inside another drawing and some words". Then another card thanks to Daddy with lots of nice things said about me, exactly what you need to feel very loved and special. I then received the boxed set of Season 6 of McLeod's Daughters and a CD, "Ultimate Housework Hits", do you think that's a hint.... (no I asked for it....., the CD, not the housework!) and a pair of very high very white stiletto's, very cool..... very spoilt!!!

We then got dressed, I gave Pip her weetbix while Andrew showered Caitie and after a dance around the lounge room to my new CD with my girls we headed to McDonald's for breakfast, oh I did forget to mention that my special day started at 6:05am and so we headed out the door for breakfast and 7:30am. After a yummy breakfast we came back home, Andrew went over to the prayer meeting, Pippy slept and Caitie and I just bummed around till 9:20am when we headed over to the church. Bug went to Little Kids and Pip and I went into the service and sat with Grandma Werlie (Verlie). After Church we hung around catching up with people, came home gave Pip some lunch and then headed back out up to North Richmond for Chinese lunch with Verlie and Michelle. Really yummy food, Caitie's behaviour was borderline, but she was tired and is always worse when she it like that. Pip was given no chance to whinge, she just kept having prawn crackers shoved in her face.

After lunch we went the long way home hoping, praying that Caitlyn would sleep but she was passed it and it did not happen. We drove passed the old house (first time since dad sold it) and it still looks exactly the same, don't know what I expected them to do.... but anyway. A quiet afternoon and then Andrew went to Church, girls had dinner and bed, I blogged, watched TV and had dinner when Andrew came home.
Over all it was a lovely day and made even more special as for the second night running Pip went down without a feed at 6:30pm and only woke at 5am for a feed and got up at 6am, and Caitie went down at 6:30pm and woke at 6:30am and didn't wake at all during the night!!!! Yeah, it is so amazing what 2 nights unbroken sleep does to your outlook and brain power.

Pip update

Well Pip loves her food, she is currently eating anything you put in her hands which is great and distresses meal times. She is currently having her mush food followed by either banana or yogurt and then she has a second tea with us up at the table where she gets what we are eating to squish and feed herself which she loves.

Foods so far

Rice Cereal, Pears, Carrot, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Zucchini, Broccoli, Fish, Beans, Potato, Biscuits, Prawn Crackers, Banana, Peaches, Yogurt, Cheese, Bread roll, Toast, Rusks, Egg Custard, Peas, Corn and Weetbix.

She is also so close to crawling, she is up on her knees and hands and follows you around the room she just hasn't quite got the move the hand and the knees together. She is still trying to move her knees, overbalancing and face planting.

She is such a happy little thing, but does make a rather annoying noise when she is hungry, tired or dirty, I guess it makes it easier for us the know what is wrong, cause if she is screaming then she isn't tired, hungry or in need of a nappy change. She is still waking through out the night for feeds, but if she doesn't drop them herself before we go on our holiday in 20 days then once we are back it will be time to get tough and get her sleeping through. It is just so exhausting, especially when I go from my bed, to Caitlyn's to Pip's to mine.... I was saying to a friend the other day I think the last decent nights sleep when I slept all night undisturbed was 3 months before Caitie was born...

She loves her big sister and when Caitie is in the room she has Pips total attention, it is pretty much the same for Andrew and I too, she always has the biggest smile for us and either flaps her arms or does a little dance.

She is going really well at swimming, loves splashing around and has a great time, I on the other hand really do not enjoy being back in the cold wet water again.
